Portfolio Manager

An exciting opportunity exists at a mine in the Northern Cape for a Project Manager with experience in the mining industry and a proven track record of projects managed.

• Must be in possession of a Degree / Higher Diploma in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering

Minimum Requirements

Technical:

• Bachelor degree or National Higher Diploma in an engineering discipline (preferred disciplines; Mechanical, Electrical (High current or low current, Industrial)           

Project management:

• Accredited project management course advantageous           

Commercial:

• A commerce qualification would be an advantage (e.g. Business management or financial management)
• Knowledge of commerce matters (Financial, investment, contracts)

Job Specification

Project management experience:           

Years of technical experience:   

• 5 years

Years of hands-on project management experience: 

•  3 years (Not concurrent with technical experience)           

Level of project management involvement:   

• Direct involvement (lead) in capital projects within a technical environment.
• Must have technical and commerce experience.

Track record of successful project delivery:         

• Candidate must be able to prove a track record of projects that the individual has personally, successfully managed.
• Must be able to provide details of the type of project, budget, management and reporting techniques and tools used, resources managed and handover and close out results.
