Senior Project Manager

A large mining group seeks a Mechanical / Electrical Engineer with contracts and/or project management experience to assume responsibility for entire projects from project definition and planning, to financing, contract prep and tender process, presentation through execution and hand-over

Minimum Requirements

  • Beng Degree / bsc / btech : Mechanical Engineering
  • PMP Beneficial / Prince2 or relevant Project Management qualification

Job Specification

  • Turn-key projects engineering [ furnaces, heat exchangers, pressure vessels and drums ]
  • Facilitate new developments, designs and maintenance to be implemented at plants
  • Assisting with the procurement process of equipment needed for projects
  • Pre-feasibility, feasibility and design
  • Project scoping and planning
  • Preparation of design and tender documentation
  • Project definition, screening, coordination, prioritisation & rationalisation
  • Outline planning / programming
  • Work breakdown planning
  • Project approval / Expenditure approvals
  • Project execution, commissioning and handover
