Mining Maintenance Planner

International Earthmoving company requires a Mining Maintenance Planner to be based in their Mining Division, responsible for maintenance planning on site and will work within a team dedicated to maintenance and repair work on heavy duty mining equipment

Minimum Requirements

• 3-5 years experience in a mining maintenance planning for heavy duty mining / construction equipment
• Red seal qualification or Engineering diploma
• Experience with management systems Baan / Sap required
• Must be fully computer literate – Advanced Excel ESSENTIAL
• English proficiency a must
• Attention to detail and total accuracy required
• Self motivated with minimal supervision
• East Rand based an advantage

Job Specification

• International Earthmoving company requires a Mining Maintenance Planner to be based in our Mining Division, responsible for maintenance planning on site and will work within a team dedicated to maintenance and repair work on heavy duty mining equipment

Key Responsibilities

• Meet all safety procedures and regulations (zero tolerance)
• Develop maintenance plans and component change out forecasts / planning / scheduling / budgeting / co-ordination / monitoring and review of all maintenance activities and processes
• Ability to instruct and train maintenance planning staff in all aspects
• Implement and maintain a planning schedule for periodical maintenance / control on excavators and support equipment
• Issue work orders and spare part requirements for maintenance / repair work
• Update work orders after performance of the maintenance / repair work
• Update all relevant data (operating and downtime hours, oil / fuel consumptions etc.)
• Good Technical knowledge in mechanics, hydraulics, electrics etc.
