- Specifically, [Company] is seeking to appoint a Partner to play a key role in growing our EHS Performance & Assurance practice in Pittsburgh, PA. The ideal candidate will bring significant private-sector client relationships, a wealth of strategic consulting and technical capability, and a deep understanding of business processes to help our clients proactively address their EHS and sustainability risks and challenges. As a partner in the Performance & Assurance practice you will be expected to:
- Sell and deliver large-scale EHS compliance and sustainability programs.
- Achieve performance improvements and long-term change within many of the world’s leading companies.
- Share in the ownership of a global sustainability consulting business that is expanding at a rate unmatched in our industry.
Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement strategic business/action plans, provide leadership, and deliver profitable growth, to leveraging and developing our resources across the broad portfolio of service offerings in [Company] Performance & Assurance practice:
- EHS compliance and social auditing
- Product compliance and life cycle management
- Safety compliance programs, including safety performance transformation program development and deployment
- EHS and social compliance and risk management systems development and deployment
- High-impact training in EHS and social fields
- Corporate sustainability reporting
- Information management systems
- Lead, manage performance, hire, integrate, and retain, inspire and mentor personnel for overall success of the practice team.
- As a senior “seller/doer,” personally secure $1 million+ in sales annually. Identify and develop new opportunities, prepare effective technical proposals, and take an active leadership role in developing new business with new and existing clients. Develop and expand client relationships that generate repeat business.
- Develop and deliver world-class EHS program solutions for industrial clients with complex technical/regulatory and performance improvement issues in targeted sectors (oil & gas, mining, power, with additional focus on manufacturing, chemicals, and pharmaceuticals). Provide oversight and maintain technical depth, expertise, and credibility through involvement in aspects of key project work.
- Support the general growth and development of [Company] global Performance & Assurance practice and actively collaborate with colleagues in [Company] offices across the Americas, Europe, Middle East and Africa, and the Asia-Pacific regions. Drive innovation within the practice to stay ahead of client needs and to differentiate [Company] from our competition.
- Collaborate with other ERM global practitioners to execute EHS compliance and sustainability projects. Participate on teams comprised of Performance & Assurance professionals from multiple offices around the global ERM organization.
- Capitalize on existing [Company] client relationships to expand [Company] profile and market share in the EHS Performance & Assurance market (through a combination of excellence in technical delivery and business development). Work with other [Company] resources to deepen relationships with [Company] key clients and establish new client relationships that result in significant net revenue growth.
Requirements:
- BS/MS in engineering, safety, science, or related degree.
- 15+ year’s relevant EHS consulting experience in working substantially with industrial clients, preferably with the oil and gas, mining, and/or power sectors.
- Be passionate about EHS performance improvement and have substantial experience in developing and delivering world-class EHS program solutions.
- Have a proven track record in developing and implementing successful business growth strategies.
- Demonstrate an ability to develop and maintain long-term, sustainable relationships with clients, and achieve personal sales of at least $1 million (net revenue) in new EHS consulting services.
- Offer recognized technical expertise and an established reputation in the local marketplace.
- Certification in field; PE, CSP, CHMM, or similar registration desired.
