CNC Machinist

Shift:

• 3rd

General Purpose of Job:

• Perform typical machine shop operations.  Perform standard machinist processes per ANSI and other regulatory codes.  Perform work according to Flanders Electric standards and customer specifications.

Education Requirements:

• High School Diploma or equivalent

Experience Requirements:

• Minimum of 2 years Machinist experience and 2 years CNC Machinist experience.

Special Skills or Licensure:

• Ability to record all data necessary to produce expected service and/or design results, including sizing’s and illustrations.
• Ability to use measuring devices and techniques correctly to assure proper sizings.
• Ability to perform CNC milling operations such as drilling, tapping, boring, and conventional milling and lathe work, using various engine lathes (e.g., horizontal and vertical mills and horizontal boring mills and CNC lathe & milling.)
• Have knowledge to understand materials and applications as required.
• Have prior knowledge of various hand-held and stationary power and non-power tools, including but not limited to:  band saws, belt sanders, hand grinders, files, etc.
• Ability to lift, tighten, adjust and/or secure heavy objects in order to perform work and/or to observe safety precautions.
