Credit Analyst

Job description:

• Credit Analysis (100%) – Provide financial order management support to Supply Chain, Sales and Service department personnel to control credit exposure and minimize credit risks.
• Analyze customer financial condition and authorize customer credit lines.
• Manage account receivables and conduct follow up with customers to insure timely payment.
• Establish and maintain customer accounts in various databases.
• Reconcile customer statements/billings and process credits/adjustments.
• Maintain documents relevant to credit and liens, including letters of credit, lien releases, progress payment billings, and retentions.
• Train, counsel, advise and communicate company credit policies and procedures to company personnel.
• Participate in process improvement projects, and support other management directives as prescribed.
• Assist with ad-hoc projects as needed by Management

Experience requirements:

• 2-3 years of directly relevant experience.

Knowledge:

• Must be an independent self-starter with a positive attitude. Must also be customer-service oriented, have excellent organizational, interpersonal, verbal and written communication, analytical, and decision-making skills. Must be proficient in Microsoft Office, including Word and Excel. Proficiency in Lotus Notes software applications is a plus.

Educational requirements:

• Associates Degree in business or equivalent experience (5-6 years).
