Commissioning Administrator

A fantastic opportunity has arisen for the right candidate to work for a large EPCM company and gain invaluable experience on this great mining project. With experience from being on site and previously working in an administration role you will join a successful team and extend your knowledge even further. In this FIFO role you will be responsible for working closely with the commissioning team and administering the commissioning database for commissioning works as the EPCM is wrapping up this phase of works for the client.


Responsibilities will include the following:

• Ensure that commissioning handover packs are being made according to the handover criteria
• Gather all handover documentation on completion of commissioning stages
• Make sure that the pack has been signed prior to progressing them through to the next stage    
• Ensure that all Punch list items are logged onto the commissioning data base, keep focus on safety and the environment and carry out audits
• Provide support to commissioning teams and technicians and be responsible for producing a weekly report on commissioning progress and punch list status
• Assemble the required commissioning pack and check sheets for the commissioning disciplines prior to commissioning taking place

As the successful applicant, you will have:

• 3 years experience in a construction and/or project environment within the mining resources sector
• Tertiary qualifications or trade qualification viewed favourably
• Previous experience with WinPCS or MCPlus databases would be an advantage
• Excellent computer skills as well as organizational, planning, analytical and time management skills
• An extensive technical knowledge and understanding of commissioning processes
