Mechanical Supervisor Commissioning

WYN Recruitments longest standing EPCM client has a requirement for a mining experienced Mechanical Commissioning Supervisor to provide mechanical technical support and supervision during the commissioning process.


Career defining opportunity for a highly experienced Mechanical Supervisor with extensive commissioning experience gained within the Australian mining industry. This role, working directly for the EPCM, will see the successful candidate working on an extensive network of materials handling equipment for a $multi-billion mining project.

Within this role your duties will include but are not limited to:

• Ensuring all mechanical activities and tasks within the commissioning group are planned to comply with the overall commissioning schedule
• Facilitate the daily toolbox meeting within the Mechanical group and maintain a high level focus on safety and the environment
• Ensure active participation in work permit and JSA activities to ensure a safe work environment for all employees during commissioning tasks
• Ensure that works are set out and controlled in accordance with the approved design and specifications
• Liaise and assist commissioning data base system administrators' to ensure commissioning documentation is entered into the system
• Supervise mechanical technicians and provide leadership during daily field commissioning activities and assist all mechanical vendor representatives during the commissioning phase

To be successful in obtaining this role you will require:

• 3 years Australian based supervisory experience in a construction and/or project environment within the mining/resources sector
• Experience in materials handling equipment
• Tertiary qualifications in mechanical engineering and/or equivalent trade qualification
• Well-developed interpersonal, written and oral communication skills, with the ability to liaise with all levels of the project team, Contractors, Vendors and Client
