Expat Senior Metallurgist - Gold

Our Client has recently commissioned a new gold operation and has a requirement for a Senior Metallurgist to assist with the optimisation of the plant and take a leadership role in several key projects.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide technical support to the Processing team
  • Identify and implement process improvement projects for throughput rates, gold recovery and costs.
  • Provide leadership, mentoring and technical direction to direct reports.
  • Ensure that daily plant performance is optimised and appropriate measures are taken with ore change
  • Manage daily, weekly and monthly metallurgical reporting
  • Ensure compliance with the International Cyanide Management code
Selection Criteria
  • Tertiary qualification in Metallurgy or Mineral Processing
  • 3-5 years experience in CIL operations, including Senior Metallurgist roles
  • Experience in both operating and commissioning environments
  • Track record in troubleshooting and continuous improvement focus
  • Unwavering commitment to safety
  • Highly motivated individual with the ability to lead by example and develop a team of nationals
