Mining Engineer

Our client has been the stand out performer within the mining sector in recent times. They are now entering another phase of growth and as a result of this they have a number of opportunities for Mining Engineers at one of their mines in Queensland.

Roles and Responsibilities of the Mining Engineer will include:

• Mine planning support to the site
• Promoting safety and maximising the value of operations
• Assisting with the implementation of management systems and quality requirements
• Participating in a variety of projects for improvement of the mine.

To be considered for the role of Mining Engineer you will require:

• Tertiary qualifications in mining or civil engineering
• Sound analytical and numerical skills. 
• Strong written and verbal communication skills will assist your ability to confidently liaise with a broad spectrum of people.
• It is essential that you have a high level of computer literacy, with a working knowledge of databases and scheduling processes. 
• Any previous experience with planning software would be an advantage.
