Senior Mining Engineer
Our client has been the stand out performer within the mining sector in recent times. They are now entering another phase of growth and as a result of this they have a number of opportunities for Senior Mining Engineers at one of their mines in Queensland.

Roles and Responsibilities of the Senior Mining Engineer will include:

• Be accountable for providing mine planning and technical support to the Project Manager and front line supervisors 
• Ensure contractual obligations are met and profitability is maximised. 
• Maintain a focus on continuous improvement and efficiency planning and implementation 
• Leading and mentoring a small team.

To be considered for the role of Senior Mining Engineer you will require:

• Relevant Degree in Mining Engineering, with solid experience in an open cut mining environment
• Experience in scheduling for Truck/Excavator operations
• Strong knowledge of Pit optimisation, short term planning & Production scheduling
• Experience with Vulcan and short term scheduling software would be desirable
