Senior Mine Engineer (Production)

Design & Build is seeking a Senior Mine Engineer for a leading WA based Operator. This is a FIFO Role from Perth working on a 9:5 Roster OR a residential opportunity in a thriving town. This position is working on a Gold Operation and ideally you will have some underground experience

Due to expansion of Mine Operations, this is a business critical role reporting to the Mine Manager. This is a long term permanent position to work with a great team, on a new mine site, with an excellent roster and living arrangement 
 
Key responsibilities of the Senior Mine Engineer will include:
  • Conducting investigations on mineral deposits 
  • Prepare mine plans and layout including tunnels and shafts 
  • Monitoring and mentoring the mining engineers on site
  • Consult and collaborate with senior geologists about design, machinery and systems
  • Focus on improving mine efficiency and profitability
  • Establishing strong rapport with colleagues in the team as well as other teams within the operation
To succeed in the Senior Mine Engineer role you will need:
  • Tertiary Qualification ideally in Mining Engineering
  • A strong knowledge of software including Surpac 
  • A minimum of 8 years experience in the mining industry
  • Knowledge of the WA market and rules and regulations
  • A proven track record in safety and environment
  • Experience in underground mining
