Austcorp Executive Recruitment is currently representing an international Heavy Engineering Manufacturer who are seeking a proactive, well networked, commercially minded and technically astute Projects Business Development Manager. Our client is a ‘brand name’ in the transmission market and works with an enviable portfolio of Mining Businesses. This is an exciting and pinnacle role and will be instrumental in pushing this well established business through their next growth phase. Our client produces Engineered Products for clients operating primarily in the Mining, Oil & Gas, Wind and Rail sectors. This role reports into the Sales Director offers significant autonomy.
 
Key Duties: -

• Research market to identify projects current and planned with the EPCM markets – greenfield & expansion projects
• Developing new business leads via networking amongst the engineering houses throughout Australia
• Manage live tender / sales proposals in conjunction with applications & proposals team
• Management of existing customer relationships
• Product presentations and demonstrations
• Developing strong business relationships and alliances with the EPCM across Australia
• Negotiation of orders and contracts in line with company objectives
• Work in conjunction with sales teams across Australia
• Regular travel throughout the region
• Maintain CRM system

The successful person will possess a strong technical aptitude with a degree in mechanical engineering, a proven track record in winning major projects and established contacts throughout the Australian EPCM market. Product experience in power transmission is highly essential. 
 
A proactive sales approach, self motivation, strong commercial acumen and superior customer service skills are vital for this role. You will be a lateral thinker, an innovative individual, a strong networker who has the ability to work autonomously and achieve set goals.
