Established as a global leader in gold mining, this company operates multiple open pit and underground mines in Western Australia. With a strong cultured business unit, they have placed a special emphasis on significant exploration activities and a high focus on development. Due to recent growth in its current operations, the company is seeking a Senior Mine Production Engineer to operate in its open pit mine.

Job Description
Reporting to the Mine Manager, the Senior Mine Production Engineer will be responsible for the effective management of production in an open pit deposit. Specific responsibilities will include the creation and coordination of short to medium term mine plans and schedules, drill & blast designs, production reporting and ensuring the the effective implementation of mine plans to achieve maximum ore recovery.

The Successful Applicant
To be successful in this Senior Mine Production Engineer role, you will ideally possess: 

• Tertiary qualifications in Mining Engineering 
• A minimum of 4 years experience in open pit hard rock environments 
• A solid understanding of Australian mining practices and software packages 
• Experience in the management or supervision of blue collar staff
