Our client are a market leading provider of mining technical software, large scale systems implementation and business consulting services to the resources industry throughout Australia.

Job Description
Due to the continued success and expansion of our client's business, they are seeking a Database Administrator / Implementation Consultant to join the Project team based in central Perth. Working with some of the world's biggest names in the booming Mining / Resources you will be responsible for assisting and leading large scale systems implementation projects with a focus on database administration in a Microsoft environment.

Reporting into a Project Manager and working in a highly experienced an established team, you will also be responsible for providing top class database administration, training end-users on implemented solutions and processes, managing and executing Change Management procedures and researching potential solutions to meet business requirements.

The Successful Applicant

• Minimum 3 years experience in a similar role in a large complex environment with strong operational background in production support.
• MS SQL Server 2008 R2 including: DB, SSIS, Reporting Services, Security Integration, Analysis Services.
• MS Windows Server / Active Directory.
• Ability to troubleshoot and optimise SQL Server installations.
• Automated deployment and maintenance of environments.
• Upgrading and migration of servers and databases.
• Virtualisation technology using VMWare and Hypervisor.
