Commissioning Handover Manager

As this large mining project moves into this key phase a Commissioning Handover Manager is urgently needed  to make a real difference. With a mine life of over 30 years this is one of the biggest iron ore projects in WA.

General duties and responsibilities will be to:

  • Be able to identify the requirements for engineering input into procurement and construction contract packages
  • Oversee the quality of the engineering deliverables
  • Be able to ensure the implementation of the project engineering procedures 
  • Liaise with engineering and technical personnel to ensure project goals are met
  • Development and approval of load commissioning plans and procedures
  • Manage the completion of performance and acceptance tests where required
  • Co-ordinate the provision of Operations resources to the pre-commissioning and commissioning effort
  • Preparing and issuing weekly / monthly Progress Reports
  • Participate in site quality audits of the contractors and quality systems

This is an excellent opportunity to join a global EPCM consultancy and with the mine having mineral resources of more than one billion tonnes, it will be a feature in Western Australia's resource industry for many years to come.

To be considered:

  • Tertiary qualification in engineering or equivalent discipline
  • A high level of technical accuracy and experience
  • Excellent team involvement, mentoring, coordination and communication skills
  • Minimum 10 years relevant experience
  • proven track record at management level within large scale project commissioning and handover
