Chief Safety Officer

Responsibilities include: 

  • Facilitating compliance with all SHE requirements on Site. 
  • Meeting with the Health & Safety Contractors and approves them prior to allowing them access to the Site.
  • Site SHE Management

Essential qualifications:

  • Hazard Identification & Risk Assessment Certificate, SAMTRAC or COSMOC 2
  • Incident Investigation Certificate
  • Legal Liability training
  • Mine Overseer Certificate of Competency an advantage(Mining Projects)
  • SHE Management Systems(OHSAS and ISO)
  • HAZOP training
  • Knowledge of relevant SHE legislation
  • Must have 3 yrs exp as a Safety Officer.
