Our client is a respected engineering firm specializing in the custom design and builds of bulk material handling systems. Based in Calgary, Alberta, Canada, they service the Western Canadian Mining industry. Current growth has opened a need for a Project Engineer to join the team; someone who wants to have fun while striving to be a leader in the bulk materials handling industry.
 
The Project Engineer role is a full time staff position is based in Calgary, Alberta. Some flexibility may be offered to work from home in other centers for the right candidate.

What you’ll be responsible for:
  • Designing and specifying heavy duty equipment for bulk materials handling systems
  • Developing system alternatives
  • Writing technical documents
  • Being the technical interface to clients and suppliers
  • Being the contact to the construction manager
  • Authoring and overseeing the development of project deliverables
What we expect from you:
  • You hold a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering
  • You are registered, or are eligible for registration, with APEGA
  • You have a minimum of 7 years’ experience in design, engineering, or construction ideally with bulk materials handling projects
  • You have an organized and diligent work style
  • You have excellent communication skills
  • You are able to anticipate challenges and communicate them to others
  • You possess exceptional written and oral English skills
  • You’re solutions orientated with the ability to see the big picture and to get the details right away
  • You have an intuitive technical/mechanical understanding of machinery
  • You are legally able to work in Canada for any employer
