Job Description:
- Cummins Western Canada has an immediate opening for a Shop Supervisor in Saskatoon. Reporting to the Operations Manager, this position will provide leadership and guidance on Cummins Engine Platforms. Additionally this position will be responsible for:
- Effectively managing technician productivity and efficiency and providing feedback
- Supervising the development of customer quotes and communicating with customers on approval / timing of repair as well as providing timely updates to job plan changes
- Working with technicians to ensure Service documentation accuracy and published repair procedures are followed
- Maintaining Quality Assurance/Quality Control measures
- Supporting and leading all CWC and Customer Safety Initiatives, ensuring safety training and compliance measures are met/exceeded
- Working with Operations Manager to ensure that technician qualifications are current
Requirements:
- Excellent mechanical aptitude with previous Diesel Engine experience, Red Seal Certification preferred
- World class customer focused mentality
- Experience supervising and directing a team of direct reports with ability to delegate and supervise job tasks, conduct performance appraisals and organize daily tasks
- Strong Product Technical Engine Familiarization/Qualifications
- Experience in using Cummins Electronic Tools, Insite and QSOL is an asset
- Must be organized and have the ability to organize others
- Basic knowledge of computers (ability to learn BMS system and processes)
- Ability to learn and use various Cummins technical and reporting software
- Previous leadership experience is an asset
- Proficient at the use of troubleshooting trees and progressive damage guidelines
