Job Description:

Cummins Western Canada has an immediate opening for a Service Writer in Winnipeg. Reporting to the Service Manager, the position will be primarily responsible for:

• Preparing work orders, invoices and reports as required
• Scheduling customer repairs and preventative maintenance
• Communicating with customers on all aspects of repair
• Coordinating customers though the shop with input from the supervisor
• Working with the supervisor in providing over the counter estimates including call backs on providing quotes within 24 hours
• Creating, entering and closing warranty claims

Requirements:

• Parts or mechanical knowledge is an asset
• Should have a strong understanding of Quickserve process, use of Trouble shooting Trees, understanding Failure code definition and BMS
• Should also have familiarity with Vendor Required Parts Return (Warranty and EPRs), policy management and limitations as well as warranty
• Excellent phone manner and able to work with customers directly
• Computer skills (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, BMS)
• Neat, well organized and able to multitask under pressure
• Must display sound judgment, maturity and be a team player
• Must be able to learn quickly and solve problems
