Senior Process Engineer

Senior Process Engineer Job Description:

• The Sr. Process Engineer develops and improves systems designs, creates, reviews, and maintains engineering documents and drawings, and supports proposals related to equipment systems. In addition, he/she completes and verifies calculations pertaining to process flow and system pressure losses; and completes CFD modeling per project requirements. The Pneumatic Conveying/Process Engineer will be responsible for the development and improvement of heavy industrial system design. Additional responsibilities will include flow calculations, system pressure losses, and CFD modeling.
• This is a 4 month contract to hire opportunity.
• Develops processes and designs systems to support product improvement and development.
• Completes engineering calculations to support design and sizing of system equipment.
• Completes technical reviews and provides comments on customer specifications.
• Supports sales effort by working with sales team and product line managers.
• May independently manage, plan, and direct the work of projects independently, with guidance from project managers or directors.
• Maintains current knowledge of new technologies developed by the industry.
• Develops, uses, and modifies engineering documents under limited supervision.
• Develops and maintains standard engineering documents

Required Skills for Senior Process Engineer Job:

• Bachelor's degree in mechanical or chemical engineering required
• Minimum of 10 years’ experience with high volume bulk material handling or conveying
• Previous experience with startup and operation of plant equipment
• Strong knowledge and experience with CFD modeling
• Experience in the power chemical mining paper or other heavy industries
• CFD modeling experience required
