Project Engineer I (Bilingual Spanish)

Job Description

• Under the supervision and direction of the Project Manager, the Project Engineer manages and/or coordinates the project activities as assigned.
• Responsibilities would include:
• Performs basic project engineering functions involving the monitoring of progress, preparation of procedures, documentation of communications and meetings, and identification/evaluation of project issues and problems.
• Assures compliance with established safety policies and procedures, and practices safe work habits.
• Assists in management and coordination of activities among project functions and engineering disciplines.
• Coordinates efforts of technical disciplines to assure integrated and compete designs that meet project requirements.
• Reviews project staffing requirements and coordinates staffing with supporting functional organizations and/or subcontractors.
• Assists in the creation and coordination of overall plans and schedules, and monitors activities, progress and milestones.
• Assists in the creation and coordination of project man-hour and cost estimates and budgets, and monitors progress and cost performance.
• Prepares project procedures for performance of administrative, project and design tasks in accordance with contractual obligations.

Basic Job Requirements

• A bachelor's degree from an accredited university, preferably in Engineering.
• Bilingual Spanish is required.
• Experience includes performance of functional tasks on projects with a basic understanding of procedures and interfaces.
• Preferred Qualifications MBA is strongly preferred.
