Safety Advisor

  • AXS listed mining operation base in Central NSW
  • Residential Mon to Fri roster with relocation paid
  • Salary circa $110,000 plus site allowance and bonuses
A progressive mining company base in Central NSW is currently seeking an experienced Safety & Emergency Response Advisor to work as a part of the expanding Safety department.

Reporting to the Senior Safety Advisor, your main accountabilities will include:
  • Coordinate, organise training and assist in the development the Mines Rescue Team.
  • audit and review the Safety, Emergency Response and Incident Management plans,
  • procedures, risk assessments and related documentation as required by legislation
  • Support and coach Supervisors and Operators in the application of Health and Safety, Emergency Response, and Incident Management systems and procedures. 
  • Coordinate Emergency Response and Incident Management training and mock events on a regular basis with all work groups (including contractors) on site
Ideally, you will possess the following:
  • Certificate IV in OHS
  • Certificate III in Emergency Response 
  • Occupational First Aid
  • Experience in the underground mining in a Safety role is essential
  • Minimum 2 years experience in mining sector 
  • Demonstrated experience in Emergency Response and Mines Rescue Coordination
