Senior Geotechnical Engineer - Mining


Design & Build is seeking a Geotechnical Engineer for a leading geotechnical practice. This is an excellent opportunity to live and work in a booming town and be home every night


Key responsibilities of the Geotechnical Engineer will include:

• Manage and maintain geotechnical inspections and recording
• Conducting geotechnical inspections, data collection, interpretation and reporting
• Apply geotechnical skills and techniques to mine design 
• Work on local coal mining projects as well as supporting the international operations
• Business development and client relations as required
• Preparing and winning proposals, and providing professional advice to our clients.
• Train, mentor and advise as necessary 

To succeed in the of Geotechnical Engineer role you will need:

• Tertiary qualifications in a relevant field
• A minimum of 5 years experience in geotechnical practices and previous experience in mining and resources
• Experience in soft rock  
• Good report writing skills and communication
• Software knowledge ie Vulcan or similar
