As one of Australia’s largest coal exporters, this owner operated mine is continuing to increase its dominance in the coal industry with new projects and large expansions across Queensland’s Bowen Basin.
We currently have a challenging and rewarding position for a skilled and experienced Truck & Shovel Engineer to join a new team on a large Greenfield open cut mine.
To be considered for this position you will have a relevant tertiary qualification in mine engineering; ideally you will also have a minimum of 3 years open cut experience with a strong focus on truck and shovel operations, planning and scheduling. You must have current and competent software knowledge (Vulcan or XPAC desirable) around mine planning and have the ability to work under pressure in a high performance team environment.
As this is a Greenfield site you will have the opportunity to work across all planning and design work needed to run a successful truck and shovel operation.
During initial planning stages you will be based in Brisbane for a minimum of 12 months, working from Monday to Friday in the project office. Once this mines goes operational you will then move into a FIFO roster which will be family friendly.
