Project Engineer

Reporting into the construction manager this is an opportunity for a  project engineer to join this mining contactor on 2/1 based FIFO roster  available from any capital in city Australia, providing engineering, technical and contract support to the construction manager and staff as well as assisting in the preparation of construction programs and monitoring the progress across manning levels and productivity including budget and costs, assisting with the technical and commercial evaluation of supplier and subcontract quotations, administering site management of subcontractor activities, identifying  and advising on all contractual and commercial claims related to the works and ensuring early notification of any commercial, contractual  issue or conflict.
 
This is a proactive role with a high emphasis on health and safety, ensuring that a safe working environment is adhered to all times, including working in according with the OS&H policies and processes, complying with environmental  management system procedures and promoting environmentally considerate work practices as well as complying with the site systems of progress recording, site diaries and photographic recording, this role will also have a daily interface with the client including attending and contributing to meetings.
 
To be successful in securing an interview for this role you must have a minimum of 2 years’ experience in the construction industry in a project engineering capacity, a tertiary qualification in engineering, as well as highly developed communication and interpersonal skills.
