A superb opportunity has arisen to join a leading Mining & Civil contractor, based in central Perth. Now employing 400 people and with forecasted growth of 20% this year they have recently tendered for, and won two additional projects. The company is extremely ambitious and is looking for like minded individuals to foster growth. Particular focus is now on the recruitment of Principal Estimator.
Reporting to the Estimating Manager the role will involve a large degree of autonomy overseeing all contract negotiations across WA. the role will primarily involve estimating various materials, whilst providing detailed breakdown of project costs, overheads, excess waste and profit margins. Obviously preparation of written estimate clarifications (inclusions & exclusions) to accompany tender submissions will be an imperative part of the role. Secondary tasks will include the working from plans specifications and Assisting with progress claims and variation claims
Successful candidates will have the following experience:
-10 years estimating experience
-5 years senior estimating experience
-Strong EPCM exposure
-15 years Mining/Civil Engineering experience
-Worked for a contractor
-Estimating projects worth >$50m
-Knowledge of Perth market
You will also need extremely strong negotiation and commercial skills, with tangible achievements and examples. If you wish to apply it is imperative you can demonstrate your relevance and have good communication skills.
