Health, Safety, Environment & Training Superintendent
As Health, Safety, Environment & Training Superintendent you will be responsible for delivering an injury free workforce for major open cut, Dragline coal project in the Bowen Basin.
Responsibilities:
- Provide advice on the implementation of the Safety, Health and Environment systems and site training scheme
- Monitor and evaluate safety, health, environment and training (SHET) performance data, reports and technical advice
- Monitor the effectiveness of the implementation and application of SHET systems on site and advise on possible improvements
- Assist with the development of a risk register, facilitating risk assessments to establish a risk management system
- Provide technical risk advice to project leaders
- Lead significant investigations, providing technical advice where required
- Develop and deliver safety training and information, including site inductions
Skills and Experience:
- Diploma Occupational Health, Safety and Environmental
- Min.3 years hands on experience in a similar leadership role
- On-site experience in the mining and civil industry
- A clear understanding of risk management principles
- Experience in auditing, data analysis, reporting and incident investigation.
- Ability to contribute to the capability development of safety and health personnel through coaching and mentoring
