About our Client
Our client is an ASX listed junior mining company, who are currently working through development of their major project and are scheduled to start production in the near term. Due to this exciting transition from developer to producer they are looking to increase their capabilities at site and now require a Senior Mine Accountant.

Job Description
Reporting to the Site Admin Manager you will lead a small on site finance team and be responsible for all finance functions on site. This will require you to ensure the accuracy of all site financial reporting, budgeting, forecasting and capital approval.

Your responsibilities will include but not be limited to the following;

• Prepare and analysis the monthly site management reporting
• Coordinate the preparation, analysis and reporting of site budgets and forecasting
• Assist in the preparation, analysis and approval of all capital expenditure requests
• Maintain and update the life of mine model
• Support the corporate finance team with strategic decision making
• Provide cover for the Admin Manager when absent

The Successful Applicant
You will be tertiary qualified and ideally possess a professional accounting qualification such as CPA or CA, with at least 5 years experience in a similar role preferably in mining. You will have strong management accounting and planning experience and have previously coordinated an annual budgeting process, which saw you liaise heavily with non-finance managers. This will require you to possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills, plus good attention to detail to assist you in developing strong working relationships across operational management. In addition you will also be able to demonstrate excellent analytical and problem solving skills, combined with a good commercial acumen.
