IT Support Specialist

Requirements

• IT Desktop Support Specialist to provide software and desktop support, training and troubleshooting. Candidates should have extensive experience with desktop hardware, software applications, and Windows based operating systems. Additional tasks will involve setting up cell phones (Blackberry) and assisting other departments within IT. Candidate must be customer service oriented and proactive in resolving problems. Candidates must have strong desktop support skills and helpdesk experience.

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Must possess a great desk-side manner and a commitment to customer service.
• Install, configure, and troubleshoot software applications and peripheral equipment used
• Maintain a high level of knowledge on our company's applications and services
• Ensure audio/visual/presentation is setup for meetings
• Collaborate with other IT departments on assigned projects and issues
• Knowledge of Microsoft Office
• Provide excellent customer support with an emphasis on quality of service and first call resolution
• Perform other related duties as required to accomplish the objectives of the position
• Maintain and manage Helpdesk tickets

Qualifications:

• Minimum 3-5 years of experience installing and supporting Windows XP/7 PC and laptop hardware and software
• BS or AA degree
• Strong experience resolving Malware issues
• Mobile device experience a plus supporting Blackberrys
• Ability to communicate technical solutions to non-technical users
• Strong written and oral communication skills
• Ability to independently perform all duties of the position efficiently and effectively
