Tasks

• Responsible for developing and growing relationships in the St. Louis territory. An understanding of the market served in this areas is paramount.  Account Management, support, technical training and sales.  Business Development. Global team interaction. A keen understanding of the importance of building relationships with customers.  Conducting seminars, customer events, symposiums and learning/teaching sessions are a significant part of the position.  Time will be spent developing / organizing / implementing these events. Frequent interaction with global team members is critical to success.

Requirements

• 5 – 10 years’ experience in manufacturing either in a manufacturing engineer or applications engineer environment.
• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Marketing, Business or a related field.  Able to draw simple designs, in order to effectively communicate his/her thoughts to the customer.   Understanding of the manufacturing process and able to communicate solutions and/or suggestions.  An understanding of a wide variety of cutting tools and processes including milling, turning, hole making and the spindle connections of various machine tools.  Able to communicate with many levels, from technical to upper level management and entrepreneurial individuals. Good public speaking skills and an understanding of the marketing aspect of sales.  Team mind-set is critical.
