An opportunity exists with a mid-tier mining group as they are seeking a Mining Engineer for their open cut operation in North Queensland. This role will allow you to gain experience with all aspects of the mine and provide an excellent career path to more senior positions within the company. You will also enjoy a supportive and dynamic working environment.


Working within this technical services team and reporting to the Senior Mining Engineer this role will see you involved with many areas of mine engineering allowing you to become a well rounded professional. The different areas you will gain experience in include (however are not limited to); drill & blast; short-term term planning, scheduling and design.


To be considered for this role you will need tertiary qualifications in Mining Engineering and proven experience in an open cut mining environment (metals experience advantageous). Excellent communication and interpersonal skills are required to liaise with operational teams and promote a safe working environment. Furthermore previous experience with mining software (preferably Surpac) will also be highly regarded.
