Rubber Plant Manager

A well known leading manufacturing company is currently looking for a Rubber Plant Manager to join their vibrant team. Must have National diploma in Mechanical / Chemical Engineering and a diploma in Rubber / Plastic will be an advantage.

Minimum Requirements

• 5 years experience in production, preferably in rubber / plastic manufacturing environment
• 5 years in a leadership / management role
• Knowledge of rubber moulding
• Ability to read engineering drawings
• Budget control
• Consumable and raw material stock management

Job Specification

• Ensure production output meets planned production targets
• Ensure products meet required production and quality standards
• Develop feasible work instructions to ensure all processes are consistent
• Implement and maintain productivity improvement plan
• Implement control systems to eliminate possible stock losses
• Design and develop new processes to eliminate non conformance products
• Responsible for cost centre expenses
• Formulate strategic plans based on long term vision of the business
• Set objectives and detail action plans to achieve results
• Strategic planning / Understanding of rubber mixing technology / Understanding of vulcanizing process and moulding / Working knowledge of welding process / Effective and strong leadership skills / Knowledge of lean manufacturing process / Designing of jigs and fixtures / Understanding of batch production process /
• Negotiation and consultation skills / Good communication skills / Interpretation of engineering, production and quality standards / Knowledge of NOSA / OHSA / Industrial relations knowledge / Result orientation / Problem solving / Budgeting.
