Responsibilities:

  • Supervise and provide leadership to direct reports
  • Distribute work among direct labor employees taking into consideration, skill, ability and experience
  • Review and maintain time and attendance for union employees
  • Communicate with customer service and MinePro to provide information when requested regarding shipment of material
  • Provide drawings, labor instructions and direct material flow
  • Ensure safety policies are followed by 1st shift team
  • Review internal customer requests and allocate work
  • Work with Planning and Production Control, provide status and estimated dates of completion for customer requirements
  • Work with Engineering on prototypes and new product introductions

Qualifications

  • Degree in Operations Management or related field preferred
  • 2+ years supervisory experience required
  • Background in mechanical and electrical
  • Ability to work within a deadline driven environment
  • Experience in union environment preferred
  • Knowledge of SAP business management preferred
  • Strong communication skills-oral and written
