Powerhouse Maintenance Engineer - Shift Manager

• [Company] - Fairfield Works has an immediate opening for a Shift Manager - Powerhouse Maintenance. This position manages the maintenance of a large industrial power station, including high pressure boilers, turbo-generators and blast furnace turbo-blowers, auxiliary equipment such as fans, pumps, water treatment facilities. Directs major equipment outages and repair projects. Prepares specifications, solicits bids, helps select vendors, and coordinates work and monitors performance of contractors. Directly supervises ten Maintenance Utilitymen and one expeditor, prepares and implements technical and safety training to maintain technical competence of multi-craft employees. Plans and administers computer-based preventive maintenance program. Determines requirements for and quantity of spare parts required to assure reliable operations and administers spare parts inventory of over $10 million value. Determines acceptable repair procedures and assures compliance with government and industrial codes such as the ASME boiler and pressure vessel code and the National Electric Code. Manages maintenance budget for the Power House.

Requirements:

• A Bachelor of Science degree in Mechanical Engineering or Electrical Engineering and/or a minimum of two years related experience. Boiler and Power house experience preferred.
