Purchasing Personnel

Our client, a large Underground Mining Contractor in Western Australia is looking for suitably qualified and experienced Purchasing Personnel to join their Purchasing team in Welshpool.

Due to growth and internal movement they currently have vacancies for the following personnel:
  • Purchasing Officers
  • Store person

Key responsibilities include:
  • Providing effective Purchasing and Supply services to all sites and offices.
  • Receipting of goods and services in a cost effective manner.
  • Processing of requisitions to Purchase orders from mine sites and other offices.
  • Check requisitions for approvals.
  • Monitoring backorder status with vendors and keeping sites / offices informed of the progress.
  • Handling supplier enquiries.
  • Data Inputting.
  • Stock take - offices and mine sites.

The successful candidates must have the following:
  • Experience in a purchasing / store person position.
  • Strong administration background including expediting, stock control or accounts payable.
  • Ability to communicate / liaise with staff members and suppliers.
  • Experience on purchasing software's highly desirable .

You will have great verbal and written communication, strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work in a small team. You will also possess exceptional organisational and time management skills.

A highly competitive salary package including superannuation is on offer for the right candidate.
