Underground Shift Boss

  • 2:1 roster FIFO from Perth or DIDO from regional centres.
  • Highly competitive shift rate.
  • Underground Mining Contractor

Our client, a large Underground Mining Contractor is currently looking for suitably qualified and experienced Shift Bosses for vacancies on their sites in WA.
A generous salary is on offer on a 2:1 FIFO roster from Perth.

Your role will be to oversee the day to day operation of shift workers and equipment usage at an underground mine site. You will also be responsible for ensuring all workers on shift are trained and competent to perform their duties safely and productively at all times.

You will have the opportunity to work autonomously with support from a highly experienced site based project management team.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Oversee the mines interest with regard to duty of care to all employees, sub-contractors and visitors.
  • Ensure mining operations are conducted in a safe manner and any safety issues are promptly reported to the Underground Manager.
  • Perform the daily management, control and supervision of the working areas in accordance with all relevant Acts and Regulations.
  • Organise crews, rosters and day to day running of that particular site.

To be successful in this role you must have the following:

  • Shift Boss Ticket - recognised in Australia
  • Mining experience - underground experience preferable however not essential
  • Valid Australian Drivers Licence (HR preferred)
