Geotechnical Engineer

• $125K - $145K + Super

With a number of base and precious metal operations and projects within Australia and overseas, this is an excellent opportunity to jump on board with a growing ASX listed small to mid-tier producer and explorer.  You will be joining the team at one of their complex base metal operations currently progressing major UG mine expansions and a ramp up of production.

Operating on a very attractive 8/6 roster and chartered flight service from Brisbane, this position offers a great work/life balance without sacrificing lifestyle.  You will also be residing in 1st class accommodation while on site and have access to superb modern facilities.

Strong performance will be rewarded with an outstanding remuneration package, including a salary in the vicinity of $125K - $145K + super + employee share plan and 5 weeks annual leave.
 
Key Responsibilities:  -  

• UG Geotechnical mapping, monitoring and modelling
• Geotechnical inspections and reporting
• Risk identification and hazard management 
• Liaising with other staff regarding mine developments and designs

Requirements:  -  

• Degree qualifications in Geotechnical Engineering / Rock Mechanics
• 2+ years experience in an U/G mining environment
• Strong technical skills in current mine planning & Geotechnical software
• A way with people that helps you get the job done
