Civil Project Engineer

WYN Recruitments newest client is a privately owned company with 30 years experience in civil construction. Their work within the mining industry covers concrete, infrastructure and bulk earthworks and they are quickly establishing themselves as an industry leader within $multi-billion mining projects.

Specific responsibilities will include:

  • Ensure all civil and structural engineering project work complies with statutory and regulatory requirements and company policies and practices
  • Prepare preliminary and detailed designs, specifications and documentation for all civil and structural engineering project work and ensure project work complies with conditions and parameters set out in project scope of works
  • Ensure civil and structural engineering projects are completed on time and within budget
  • Provide high level technical support for all civil and structural engineering project work as required
  • Prepare documentation for standards, procedures, safe working practices and monitoring regimes in respect of work on or around civil and structural engineering projects
  • Liaise with other department engineers and draftspersons to ensure project goals are met
  • Provide input to the civil / structural engineering budget
  • Participate in technical reviews of all procurement and construction contract packages
  • Progress monitoring and reporting
  • Undertake scope control and trending of scope changes as needed
  • Meet assigned dates for engineering deliverables

This is a much sought after role and subsequently will be filled quickly. As a result our client has stipulated that strict criteria be met. The right candidates for this unique opportunity will demonstrate:

  • Civil Engineering Degree Qualifications
  • Previous experience with concrete, infrastructure and bulk earthworks
  • 10+ years professional experience
