Plant Manager

Position Summary:

• Manage all aspects of a 1 - 2 million ton limestone mine operation located in the San Antonio, TX area. Products include various sizes of crushed limestone for concrete, industrial and commercial construction needs. Supervise a workforce of approximately 30 employees. Provide strong leadership, training, team building and supervision with an emphasis on employee development and safety. Manage all mine planning, operational, financial, safety, environmental, personnel, and community relations duties at the mine in accordance with company programs, policies, and guidelines as well as government agencies including MSHA and the EPA.

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s Degree, preferably in Engineering (Civil/Mining) or Business, or equivalent experience required
• Professional Engineer (PE) or Engineer-In-Training (EIT) preferred
• 3+ year’s supervisory experience
• Solid knowledge of QC discipline in one or more of product lines (aggregates, asphalt, or concrete)
• Self-starter with excellent verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills; capable of developing and maintaining good relationships with company and regulatory agency personnel
• Experience interacting with governmental agencies
• Excellent time management skills; ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks; strong planning skills
• Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook
• Certifications from the American Concrete Institute (ACI Level 1) and/or Hot-Mix Association (HMA Level 1A, Level II) desired
• Experience with AggQC a plus
