Job Summary:

• This position works under the general direction of the Group Environmental and Safety Director and Site Operations Manager and will be responsible for making sure the facility remains compliant with applicable US environmental and safety regulations.
• Key responsibilities include coordinating and managing the sites compliance with Environmental and Safety matters. Developing, managing and implementing site specific procedures, policies and training programs. Supervise other personnel on site responsible for environment and safety compliance. Provide technical support and troubleshoot air pollution and wastewater treatment equipment at the facility.
• May also be required to assist the Group Environmental and Safety Director with various compliance related initiatives or gaps at other Group Sites.

Key Expertise Required:

• BS degree in Chemical, Environmental Engineering, Chemistry or Environmental Sciences.
• 8-10 years’ experience in the field of environmental and safety regulatory compliance, in a manufacturing setting.
• Proven capabilities and competencies in waste management, emergency response and OSHA compliance.
• Proven capabilities and competencies in South Coast Air Quality Management District (SCAQMD), Department of Toxic Substances (DTSC), Los Angeles County Sanitation District (LACSD), California Proposition 65, and California OSHA.
• Must have excellent communication and interaction skills
