Industrial Engineer
Position Summary
- Assists mine engineers to perform various engineering duties. Performs time studies and special projects for mine management. This is an entry level engineering position for the supervisory/management development program.
Target Responsibilities
- Performs time studies of longwall, and development mining operations.
- Performs specialty studies/projects for Mine Management.
- Monitors underground horizontal De-Gas System.
- Assists Mine Engineers with underground surveying.
- Takes coal samples for Prep Plant as necessary.
- Assists Project Engineers of operations at surface development projects, and office clerical work.
Minimum Requirements
- Requires less than one year of related experience in mine operations and electrical & mechanical maintenance.
- Requires knowledge of coal mining operations; including safety, production, maintenance, economics, equipment usage, and staff utilization.
- Requires Underground Miners Certificate and gas detection card.
- Requires travel between Group 3 mines.
- Must possess effective verbal communication skills.
