Pricing Specialist

Position Summary

  • This position will report to the Regional Pricing Manager. The Pricing Specialist I is a regional resource responsible for many facets of pricing, including: Reviewing and analyzing special price requests (SPR’s), providing price support for special Programs, and initiating Pricing Agreement Renewals for existing agreements.
  • As directed by the Manager, (and with moderate supervision) the Pricing Specialist I will support the use of pricing tools and techniques used in Pricing and Negotiations. The Pricing Specialist I must possess strong judgment, attention to detail, and interpersonal skills.
  • The Pricing Specialist I will provide guidance and support to Distributors, Sales and Pricing in addressing requests pertaining to Pricing Agreements.
  • Support special pricing and marketing programs as directed by the Manager. This includes initiating Pricing Agreements, ensuring agreements are adequately reviewed prior to expiration, and providing analysis as requested.
  • Work closely with Sales and Distributors to ensure that Special Price Requests are submitted with all required information. Provide guidance to ensure understanding of business requirements for Special Price Requests.
  • Successfully resolve Distributor and Sales issues regarding Negotiated Pricing, including Ship-from-Stock and Credit issues, deviations from accepted business practices, and business system questions.
  • Provide Pricing Managers and Pricing Analysts with initial analysis for agreements due for renewal. Recommendations for renewal are based upon business growth, competitiveness of pricing, customer’s success in meeting defined goals, and overall business potential of customer.
  • Demonstrate an understanding of Rockwell Channel policies and procedures, to ensure agreements are aligned with such policies.
  • Demonstrate a core competency in the administration of Special Price Requests and Agreement Administration, and execute the role in a responsive and professional manner.

Minimum Qualifications

  • BS Degree in Business or similar discipline is required, or equivalent work experience.
  • Demonstrated proficiency with Microsoft Office applications (Excel and Access).

Desired Qualifications

  • Knowledge and experience with SAP is preferred.
