Senior Financial Analyst - Motion

Position Summary

• Review and analysis of the annual operating plan, forecasts, and monthly causals for the Motion Business.
• Ad hoc analysis as required to support decision making for the Motion management team.
• Coordination with the central operations, commercial, and spending teams in maintain financial ownership of the Motion P&L and drive improved financial performance of the business.
• Responsible for understanding Motion price realization in order to provide meaningful insight to the Motion management team in order to improve price realization.
• Utilize concept scorecard and other return on investment tools to provide a financial assessment for initiatives proposed by the Motion business.
• Analyzing and reporting on the financial impact of new product introductions to the business both on revenue and margin.
• Work with the central operations team to understand the cost/material inflation for Motion products and to help analyze and assess productivity opportunities for the Motion business.

Responsible for:

• Decision support for the Motion leadership team.
• Financial ownership of the Motion P&L.
• Review and analysis of the AOP, Forecast, and Causals prepared by the central teams.
• Return on investment analysis for all initiatives proposed by the Motion business.
• Understanding the impact of price and inflation on the business.
• Financial analysis over the product life cycles within the business (introductions thru end of life).

Minimum Qualifications

• BS or BA degree in Accounting or Finance, MBA/CPA desirable.
• Five or more years of experience in finance and/or accounting including prior experience in budgeting, management reporting, business unit finance support, and financial analysis.
• Proficient with Excel/Word/PowerPoint.
• Hyperion and SAP knowledge a plus.
