Project Manager - Project Management

Department Description

• The project manager acts as the primary customer contact through all phases of project execution to ensure on-time delivery, profitability and positive customer relationships. The project manager leads cross-functional project teams on multiple projects concurrently in order to fulfill the as-sold project scope and meet contract commitments.

Detailed Description

• Serve as the primary customer contact from sales handover through the commissioning phase.
• Responsible for maintaining and/or improving as-sold project margin including the negotiation of change orders.
• Direct cross-functional project teams through all phases of project execution.
• Prepare and drive project plan in accordance with agreed upon project scope and milestones to ensure on-time delivery.
• Initiate timely invoicing per contract terms and monitor/assist collections.
• Provide sales/marketing support as needed.

Job Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering and/or business required.
• Minimum 5 years of project management experience working with industrial equipment.
• PMP certification preferred.
• Effective verbal and written communication skills on a technical level with excellent interpersonal and customer relation skills.
• Team player with proven leadership skills.
• Ability to read and interpret contracts, specifications, and drawings.
• Demonstrated skills in project planning, forecasting, and cost tracking.
• Second language skills provide a distinct advantage.
• Site installation/commissioning experience is a plus.
