Engineering Branch Manager

Responsibilities:

• Responsibilities of the position include full P&L responsibility, marketing and business development, technical, managerial and administrative duties for developing a new engineering branch office. The successful candidate will come from Macon or surrounding areas, be a self-starter with established local contacts, have strong marketing/business development skills and be responsible for client development.
• Candidates will have a technical background as a geotechnical or construction materials testing engineer/manager [preferred] or a geologist, have a ‘roll-up' your sleeves mentality to get things done, and be a team builder with the ability to both bring in and do the work. You will be tasked with getting the firm's name out in the marketplace. The firm has a national footprint, and you will be supported by other regional locations.
• Relocation may be available, but the ideal candidate will have knowledge and experience in the local Macon market. A GA Professional Engineer [PE] or Professional Geologist [PG] license is a must for this position; or the ability to obtain a local license within three months. An advanced degree is highly preferred.

Qualifications:

• BSCE/MSCE in geotechnical/materials testing preferred; BS/MS geology candidates will also be considered.
• Strong marketing and business development abilities.
• 10+ years of technical and managerial experience.
• GA PE or PG license required.
• Proven successful P&L responsibility.
• Strong leadership skills.
• Excellent decision making skills.
• Team player - embraces team building.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
