Mine Site Design Drafter, AutoCAD Mechanical and Structural

This reputable organisation has clients across a wide range of sectors including Mining, Oil and Gas, Heavy Engineering, consumables and Construction industries with a range of services including shut downs, maintenance construction and overhauls. 

You will be reporting to the engineering manager remotely and will be required to assist Workshop managers and planners and engineering staff with accurate and timely preparation of workshop drawings and provide technical support to fabrication trades. 

The main responsibilities include 

• Production of accurate CAD drawings of parts and assemblies. 
• Utilising measuring equipment, inspection reports and parts breakdowns 
• Complete detailed sketches of parts and components for processing into CAD files 
• Offer support to workshop, estimating, supervisors and managers with troubleshooting problem work. 
• Maintain the Drawing/ECN Register to current procedure as required 
• Maximising efficiency through teamwork, Innovation and ingenuity

The right candidate will possess the following 

• Trade or Engineering qualifications and field experience. 
• CAD drafting experience 
• Experience in a similar role in Mining or Heavy Engineering (preferred) 
• High degree of computer literacy and knowledge of CAD software 
• Ability to work effectively autonomously or in a team environment
