Mine Planning Engineer - Underground Coal - Central Queensland - Up to $170k

Our client is one of the world's largest mining and metals companies, operating in numerous countries and employing thousands of people. They have over 30 operating coal mines throughout Australia and beyond with plans for further sites in the near future.

They have recently expanded their operations which has led to a requirement for a Mine Planning Engineer on a underground coal project in the Bowen Basin.

As part of the Technical Services team, the role and responsibilities of the Mine Planning Engineer will include:

• Co-ordinate the mine scheduling and forecasting requirements for our mine
• Assisting in the development of short term and medium term mine planning tasks
• Auditing and continually improving mine planning processes and systems
• Implementation of mining processes and systems in a brown or green field site

To be considered for the role of Mine Planning Engineer you will require:

• Relevant tertiary qualification (mining engineer)
• Proven experience as a Mining Engineer with an underground coal focus
• Working knowledge of geology, geotechnical, coal quality and ventilation principles
• Be technically minded and enjoy the detail!
