Senior Mining Engineer (Open Cut Coal) - Sydney based Mining Consultancy

The Opportunity:

With a large project in the Hunter Valley this progressive Mining Consultancy are keen to add an experienced Senior Mining Engineer to their team of open cut specialists based in an excellent Sydney city location.

Reporting directly to the Operations Manager you will take the lead role in the planning of a large open cut coal operation where you will be responsible for developing mining solutions for a leading coal producer. You will lead and supervise a team of mining professionals to ensure the project team produces a successful solution within the desired time frame and cost constraints.

This is a role which requires an expert ability to continually investigate, analyse and improve mining operations to ensure the best possible design is scheduled and implemented successfully.

The Person:

To be considered for this role you must demonstrate an expert knowledge of open cut coal mine design and be familiar with specialist software. You will hold a degree in Mining Engineering and have a proven ability to manage Engineers and external Consultants.
