Position Purpose
- Team lead of business planning, forecasting, and standard setting process, assisting Cost Mgr and Controller with assistance of Planning/Reporting Analysis position. Review and improve reporting and analysis as team lead with assistance from Planning/Reporting Analysis position. Identify transactional process errors, determine root cause, lead action plan to improve processes, check/standardize improvements for future corrections. Work closely with procurement/ other managers to identify cost reduction projects and estimate impact to product costs. This position will be responsible for completion of technical account reconciliations, determination of root cause thereby implementing improvements.
Key Responsibilities:
- Team Lead business planning, forecasting, and standard setting process, assisting Cost Mgr and Controller. Review and improve reporting and analysis with assistance from planning and reporting position.
- Identify and improve transactional process to reduce accounting rework and process errors through collaboration with various NMO departments.
- Identify cost reduction opportunities and estimate product cost impact. Develop forecasting and improvement reporting and metrics.
- Complete technical account reconciliations to identify improved balance sheet management and proper account assignment.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in accounting and 4 or more years of accounting experience. Cost accounting manufacturing experience preferred.
- SAP knowledge preferred.
- Good organization and communication skills. Detailed analysis experience required.
- Skilled in the use and application of Microsoft office products, especially Excel.
Physical Requirements:
- This position requires sitting for extended periods of time over 90% of the work period to complete detailed work, typically using a PC. The position occasionally requires working extended work hours to meet time sensitive deadlines.
